The sad, brutal fact of the industry is that models are the most disposable commodity.  On a shoot, the lights are likely to be regarded as more important than the talent.  Your career will have the shortest span, the fiercest competition, and the scarcest rewards.

But it also just might be the most artistically fulfilling.  A true model goes beyond the need to look pretty.  A model is able to tell a story with a single image.  A good model can compel an audience to want to be part of that story, and a great model can tell many compelling stories.
